What kind of creatives do you interview?
Anyone working in the creative industries. That includes a very long list of roles, job titles and vocations from visual artists to musicians, filmmakers to authors, sculptors to architects. If you create as part of your work then you probably fall within the creative industry category.
Do I need to be located in Bendigo?
Not at all. We’ve interviewed guests from far and wide via this lovely thing we call the Internet. All jokes aside, we have a smooth and simple process for recording interviews online. All you need is a half-decent mic on your end and a solid internet connection.
Am I cool enough to be on Country Creatives?
We often ask ourselves the same question! The notion of being “cool” can be quite subjective, and it’s not the primary factor we consider when inviting guests to the Country Creatives Podcast. Instead, we focus on the unique stories, experiences, and insights that our guests bring to the table. If you have a compelling journey to share and valuable lessons learned along the way, then you absolutely have something worthwhile to offer our audience. So, don’t doubt your “coolness.” Embrace your individuality and consider joining us to inspire and connect with others through your story.
What’s your process for selecting guests?
Here’s our process step by step. Review the list of guests we’ve invited and those who have applied and reach out via email to organise a time to record. We like to keep things simple. We have lots of interest and not enough episodes to fit everyone in immediately so don’t be offended if we don’t get in touch with you right away, we’ll respond eventually I promise.
